Drumawhey Junction - Situated approximately 5 miles from Newtownards, Drumawhey Junction is Ireland's longest 7.25 inch railway. The railway is located on the Upper Gransha Road close to the Four Road Ends on the B172 from Newtownards to Millisle. The entrance is via the "railway style" gates.

These shots were taken during the 2009 Santa Special season. It concentrates on one steam loco -"Finn MacCool" This 7.25" gauge railway is operated by the volunteers of the Belfast & County Down Miniature Railway Society(BCDMR). It is a non- profit operation - ticket sales pay exclusively for the running and development of the railway.
MY 50th VIDEO! Monday 13th July saw the Bank Holiday running on the 7 1/4" Gauge Drumawhey Junction Railway in Norhtern Ireland. The DJR is the largest miniature Railway in Northern Ireland taking 10 minutes to complete the full circuit. After the failing of the "Class 47" several other shorts trains were called upon to save the day.
